Matt Carmichael Quintet

Scottish saxophonist and composer, Matt Carmichael, perfectly blends his favourite aspects from both jazz and folk. His new release, Marram, is a vital, emotive album that encapsulates the openness and emotiveness of the Scottish coastal landscape. It's a fitting follow up to Where Will The River Flow which has gained over two million streams. It built him a reputation as a 'distinctive new voice in a crowded scene' (BBC Music Magazine). The Quintet is completed by regular collaborators Fergus McCreadie (Mercury Award Shortlist), Charlie Stewart (BBC Young Trad winner), Ali Watson (Double Bass) and Tom Potter (Drums).
