Dancing Mice

Dancing Mice is a critically-acclaimed Edinburgh phenomenon, a cult success. Their accomplished music has been variously dubbed quirky, indie-prog, art rock. They are the largely conscious inheritors of diverse musical heritages that rarely coexist within one band. Dancing Mice is a unique chimera: sui generis, genuinely independent. When BBC 6 Music's Stuart Maconie played some of the band's previous album, Acme, on his Freak Zone BBC show, he compared them to The Cardiacs. More recent commentators on the band's sounds and new songs have said, ‘Syd Barrett meets Talking Heads’, and ‘Is that The Divine Comedy?’
