In Conversation with… Tam Cowan

One of Scotland’s funniest and most bawdy stand-ups, whose appearance at last year’s Fringe provoked much laughter and uproar. Once called the thinking man’s Bernard Manning, Cowan is, among his many media appearances, best known for BBC Radio Scotland’s weekly Off The Ball show – an essential part of a Saturday for football fans up and down the country. A Motherwell season-ticket holder of some 38 years, Cowan is as passionate as he is rotund. An hour in Tam’s company is both great fun and thoroughly exhausting. Have an early night the night before!
