MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South. SNP deputy leader at Westminster since December 2022. Born in Paisley, 1994. First elected in 2015, aged 20, the youngest MP in the Commons since 1832. Re-elected in 2017 and 2019. First-class honours degree in politics and public policy, University of Glasgow. Passionate campaigner against everyday sexual harassment and misogynistic online abuse, she was the first MP to use the C-word in parliament. Long-standing critic of Westminster, describing it as ‘an old boys’ club, excluded from reality, with a culture of sexism and arrogance’. A proud Partick Thistle fan.
