Pai'ea

Written in Hawaiian language, Pai'ea is a glam-rock opera that covers the early life, tests, and battles of Kamehameha I, the chief who united the Hawaiian Islands. The opera depicts his birth, the lifting of the pohaku Naha, and the Battle of Moku'ohai. Pai'ea is the first in a trilogy of rock operas being developed at Kamehameha Hawai'i campus focusing on Kamehameha I.
