CANCELLED Bridges Between Worlds

Alafia ensemble aims to build bridges between worlds of sound. The audience can expect a varied programme from large symphonic works to traditional music from the diverse cultures of its members. Alafia Ensemble is made up of six musicians from different musical backgrounds who met during their studies at the Cologne Academy of Music and Dance (Germany). The members of the ensemble are: Venezuelan flutist, pianist and arranger Leonardo Pedroza Cabrera, COMMUNITYriot clarinetist Nikola Janjic, Russian pianist and composer Olga Riazantceva-Schwarz, German/Palestinian violist Marina Eichberg, German/Portuguese cellist Paulo Francke Negreiros and Scottish mandolinist Iain Lennon.
