Alafia Ensemble play music from their upcoming album. This is an amalgamation of the group’s assorted cultural and musical backgrounds and makes twists and turns through Venezuelan, Palestinian, Balkan, celtic, classical and new music. Alafia Ensemble is made up of six musicians from diverse backgrounds who met during their studies at the Cologne Academy of Music and Dance (Germany). The members of the ensemble are: Venezuelan flutist, pianist and arranger Leonardo Pedroza Cabrera, COMMUNITYriot clarinetist Nikola Janjic, Russian pianist and composer Olga Riazantceva-Schwarz, German-Palestinian violist Marina Eichberg, German-Portuguese cellist Paulo Francke Negreiros and Scottish mandolinist Iain Lennon.
