Sacred Arts Festival Visual Art at St Michael and All Saints
The Art of Vestment. Drawing on the rich resources of Edinburgh churches, local vestment maker Alex Anderson has assembled an exhibition of liturgical vestments designed to reveal the extraordinary power this fabric art has to use materials and embroidery in the production of ceremonial garments that integrate visual beauty and spiritual meaning. The exhibition provides a rare opportunity to examine vestments that are usually seen only on the major festivals of the Christian year. All welcome. Donations invited.
