The Blue Hour

Peaks and Valleys is a four-piece band, performing original music in an intimate pub basement setting. With vocal harmonies, guitar, piano, violin, double bass and sometimes harmonium, we combine our diverse musical backgrounds to create songs somewhere on the border of folk, punk, gypsy and classical. Like trains and rash decisions, music moves between one thing and another: reality and something better, the initial spark and what the audience goes home with. We draw inspiration from these spaces of in-between-ness, felt best in the blue hour when day shifts to night.
