Bach Six Solo Sonatas and Partitas

Wolfgang David, Austrian violinist, will perform all six Sonatas and Partitas of JS Bach in three programmes, twice each: BWV 1001 & 1002, BWV 1003 & 1004 and BWV 1005 & 1006. American composer/pianist David Gompper will premiere Trois Répons for violin and piano as musical reflections to each of the pairs of Sonata and Partitas. Wolfgang David tours regularly throughout Europe, North and South America, as well as Japan, Korea and China. David Gompper is a Professor of Composition at the University of Iowa and director of the Centre for New Music.
