Alexander Klaus, the One-Legged Shoemaker Man

Sander Klaus is an underage soldier in America's Civil War. He loses a leg in 1863 – he's 16 years old. Like many bewildered teens he finds his way to New York City, where he struggles to live a normal life on the Lower East Side. A one-legged kid with PTSD in Manhattan wouldn't raise an eyebrow in 1863. But then his flashbacks come – and when he has them, there are toys. Everywhere. A story of youth, love, loss... and magic. Directed by Jenny Mercein.
